Monday
31st December
|
Went in
Fetteresso Forest today. It was really dark in the Forest
and overgrown and we had to fight through the undergrowth
to find a way out. We all got very muddy and bedraggled
but it was really good and I went in the river. All these
new smells and sounds were fascinating and a bit scary
and we discovered a new bridge over the railway. it was
wonderful.I am sure I was the first dog that had ever
been in that part of the Forest!

Friday
28th December
|
It's not
fair. I got a smack on my bottom today and it really hurt.
All I did was find a book on the floor and chew it a little
bit. It was just sort of laying there on the floor and
I sort of bit it a few times. It tasted quite nice actually
but Boss Woman was not impressed. She shouted at me and
told me I was a bad girl. I am sure the dog Trainer
guy she went to told her not to smack me. I could report
her, I could.

Monday
24th December
|
Just to
wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I
have a new ball for Christmas ~ and you know Boss Woman
hasn't even wrapped it in Christmas paper. I heard Boss
Woman telling the Big Guy about all the dogs in rescue
at this time of year ~ just chucked out on the streets.
There was a male staffie in the pound (it was microchipped)
and when the rescue woman went round to the owners house
to see about it, the woman came to the door with a puppy
in her arms and said she didn't care and didn't want the
older dog anymore.

Friday
21st December
|
Me and
Amber had a nice treat in the field today. ~ We found
a dead rotting mole and we played tug with it then ate
it between us. Boss Woman tried to take it off us but
we swallowed it before she could get it off us.
Ha Ha.

Tuesday
18th December
|
Amber
got into BIG trouble today. She got carried away chasing
the hens and jumped on one of them and pulled some of
it's feathers out. Oops. It wasn't hurt but it
made a lot of squawking noise. They're stupid useless
creatures anyway. I don't know why Boss Woman just doesn't
eat them, although they do lay nice tasting eggs, which
I like. One of the white ones keeping trying to peck me
and Amber. One day I'll have it
....

Monday
17th December
|
Had great
fun today. Had a run on the beach and while Boss Woman
was talking to some people I pinched the guy's brown leather
glove from his hand. It was really clever of me because
he never noticed until he saw me running away with it
in my mouth. I took it back to Boss Woman when she told
me to though and I didn't even bite a hole in it. The
guy looked very cross with me but Boss Woman said
I was a clever girl for bringing it back.

Saturday
15th December
|
Had to
stay at home by myself today while Boss Woman went Christmas
Shopping. It's just too bad that I have to stay in by
myself for nearly 4 hours while she went floating off.
Just hope she has got me something nice for Christmas,
that's all. I like the Christmas tree but I always get
told off for trying to pick of the shiny ornaments off
the tree AND I'm SICK of hearing those annoying Christmas
songs on the telly, athough I don't mind Shaking Stevens
because me and Boss Woman dance to his music.

Wednesday
12th December
|
Walked
on the cliff path to Dunnottar Castle today. It was very
muddy and slippy and if you fall then you end up 50' below
on the rocky beach ~ it didn't bother me because I was
chasing rabbits anyway but Boss Woman looked a bit worried.
She says she has to do dangerous walking to practise for
when she walks on the Everest Base Camp Trek. THEN she
had us walking down and up the steep steps down to the
Castle. I'm tired now zzzz

Monday
10th December
|
Heard the
Herons in the Burn today. They were making such a racket
~ I think they were having a party or a fight with all
the noise they were making. Then 3 of them flew up out
of the Burn and circled over our heads but they weren't
brave enough to land in the grass.

Friday
7th December
|
Went on
the Banks of the River Dee today. The ground was so cold
~ it was white with frost. My paws got very cold but me
and Amber ran around a lot chasing the seagulls so we
kept warm. We found some old used fireworks and Boss Woman
took them off us, just as we were pulling them apart with
our teeth. Boss Woman wouldn't let us in the River Dee
~ she said it was too fast flowing and we would get swept
away. It's not fair, she knows I like going in the water
and it did look so tempting.

Thursday
6th December |
Went
to Pets at Home' today. Everyone made a fuss of me (as usual).
Boss Woman kept trying all these really uncomfortable coats
on me. Honestly, I keep trying to tell her I don't like
wearing coats. Does she listen? No. She kept telling me
off for picking all the cuddly toys and balls from the bottom
shelf. Well, if they will put them there what do
they expect? It was good though, I found an opened half
eaten packet of biscuits on the floor which I ate before
Boss Woman could stop me. Ha Ha. |

Sunday
2nd December
|
Had a new
agility class today, down the road. Plenty of interesting
new friends there, nice smells and things to see. Think
I did okay on the jumps. Boss Woman got told off by the
trainer guy for not 'handling' me properly and leading
me on the jumps. She looked a bit annoyed at him when
he said that. They said something about a competition
in April. Saw the
Heron in the Burn again ~ hope it's not polluting the
water.

Saturday
1st December
|
Went to
pick up Boss Woman this afternoon where she had been working
at the Farmers Market. Everyone made a big fuss of me,
which I liked. Went on a run in the field and down to
the Burn and a giant Heron flew out of the Burn. Jeez,
what is it about MY burn that all the birds want to go
in it?

Tuesday
27th November
|
Went in
the Burn (as you do) today and almost had a heart attack.
2 Swans, who had been in the Burn, flew so close, right
over my head and almost took my ears off. I didn't bark
at them like I do with the geese, because I was too shocked
to speak. I think I must have woken them up when I jumped
over the bank.

Saturday
24th November
|
Had a right
palaver last night. It was really dark outside when me
and Big Guy went to put the birds away. I went under the
hen house to check there was none lurking underneath,
meanwhile he went out and closed the gate on me. Then,
he's running all round the garden looking for something.
Boss Woman comes out, running round the garden as well
and shouting my name. I'm thinking ~ what are they doing?
I'm like .... Hello, I'm here! Behind the gate! . . As
usual I got ignored. So Boss Woman shouts POLLY really
loudly.
Sigh.... So I had to call out and let her know where I
was. I got no thanks at all. Boss Woman muttered something
about getting a white dog next time.

23nd November
|
Had Pasta,
tomatoes, carrot and mince for dinner ~ it was soo fine.
Mmm lovely. Amber had to go to the vet today. Because
she keeps eating things off the ground outside, she's
not supposed to, she got sick. She has to take pills and
eat special food for a while. Glad I'm not her. The food
doesn't look very nice. Poor Amber. It
sucks.

Me and
Amber needed our coats on today for our walk ~ it was
soooo cold. Amber got to learn a new trick ~ giving right
paw. Clever aren't I? I can
do both left and right paw ~ so she still has a lot to
learn. Saw some geese flying over today, they don't half
make a racket. Wouldn't mind one dropping out of the sky
....

Cool. It's
my birthday today. I got to have beef steak and a soft
chewy bone for tea, although I had to share the steak
with Amber and the cat and Amber had a bit of my chewy
bone. Still raining and I got muddy again in the field.

Tuesday
20th November
|
I got into
big trouble today ~ it was all Amber's fault. She pinched
a sock from the washing pile and we had a game of tug
with it ~ it's only got a little hole in. We had a run
in the field and got all muddy but we enjoyed walking
in the squishy mud. Boss Woman says we are both for the
shower. Think I'll hide.

19th November
|
It's pouring
down today and I got really wet and muddy with running
in the field. I'm having one of my favourite things for
tea ~ chicken. Amber couldn't come with us because her
legs are too small for the long grass in the field. I
think Amber was sulking because she likes it in the field.
Whatever!

Friday
16th November
|
Boss Woman
took me to see my friend Jedd the Jack Russell. He's a
bit naughty and would run away if he was off lead so I
got to run fast down the beach and the rocks while he
had to stay on his lead. I think he was jealous because
I got to run he had to walk. His Boss Woman has
just had a baby that I got to have a look and sniff at.
I like going there because I always get a treat.
