Hello everybody,
I hope you had a really nice Christmas and got loads of
presents. I went to see the old ladies 2 days before Christmas,
which I liked because I got to give them all a kiss. Me
and Amber had some really nice beef for Christmas day
that Boss Woman bought us and we've been eating Turkey
ever since. I got a tug pull and Amber got a chew ball
thing for a Christmas present. Boss Woman also got us
a hessian rope tug toy and she is teaching us to seek
and find it, which we like. Boss Woman has been really
busy doing some work for the dog rescue. Loads and loads
of tiny puppies and dogs are now needing new homes because
the people who got them don't want them anymore. A lot
of people buy them as Christmas presents and when they
realise that us pups and dogs pee, poo and chew everywhere
they don't want us anymore. Well of course we pee, poo
and chew everywhere ~ until we are trained otherwise,
how are we supposed to know?? We aren't always cute and
cuddly. Sometimes we make a mess, smell and eat things
(like dead moles, rabbits or whatever) that our human
owners don't like. We also need a lot of walks, even when
it's rainy, snowy, cold and windy. Nobody said we made
life easy for our humans even if we love them. Thing is,
if we are well looked after and walked a lot, then we
are very happy and we make our humans happy as well. If
we are not looked after properly then we are sad and poorly
and then no one likes us anymore.
Me and Polly went a lovely walk yesterday with Stella
Labrador. We walked for a long way through muddy fields
over to Barras and we had to have an all over wash when
we got back because we were so muddy. This is only the
second Christmas that me and Polly have had together with
Boss Woman. We have had lovely time this holiday going
for some very nice long walks with Boss Woman and Big
Guy and lying in front of the log fire at night has been
really cosy.

Me and
Amber were scared in the Forest today. Someone was shooting
really close to us down by the river in the Forest ~ it
was really loud as well. It was only when Boss Woman shouted
to them that they stopped shooting. There was a lot of
other people walking dogs as well and Boss Woman reckoned
we were all lucky not to have got shot. I had a playfight
with Charlie dog. He was really friendly and we played
chasing and jumping for ages. I
went and stood by Boss Woman because I didn't like the
loud noises.

Walked
on to Seal Island today to see the baby seals. There were
loads and loads of baby seals on the rocks and they weren't
half making a racket with wailing and barking. I barked
at them back just to let them know that I was there and
watching them closely. The big seals kept popping their
head out of the water to look at us. The tide was coming
in really fast and I didn't fancy jumping in the sea to
swim to the Island to have a closer look, just in case
the big seals got hold of me. Yeah,
they were really big with big giant heads. Probably had
very sharp teeth as well.

Boss Woman
almost had a heart attack this morning. There were 5 pigs
that had escaped from the local pig farm, running about
outside our fence. I could easily have chased them back
up to the farm and saved the 4 men the job of getting
them back again, but Boss Woman wouldn't let me. It's
started snowing again now. We had
great fun chasing the rabbits down at Skatie Shore today.
The waves on the sea were gigantic.

|
It was
absolutely freezing cold today in the fields. -2 in fact.
Big Guy came with us and Boss Woman for a long walk. We
saw (and chased) loads of geese, 1 deer and 8 pheasants.
We had great fun. I'm glad Boss Woman put our hoodies
on because we were shivering a bit at first until we got
running around, When we came near to the field with sheep,
Big Guy put me back on lead. I don't see why, just because
I chased sheep on Ben Whyvis doesn't mean to say I'll
chase them now, does it? Anyway, I came back when I was
called and didn't catch them. I mean, I only chased them
before because they looked stupid and I wanted to see
how fast they could run. I flushed
out 6 pheasants from the bushes today. Polly was chasing
the geese and barking at them and she chased a deer for
ages as well. I chased the deer but I couldn't run as
fast as Polly. We had lamb for dinner. Polly could have
caught some of her own if Big Guy had let her off the
lead.

Went
on my first ever Therapet assignment today, to the Old Folks
Home. I really enjoyed it and I gave everyone licky kisses
even though Boss Woman said I hadn't to go round kissing
everyone. Everyone made a real fuss of me and even the local
newspaper turned up to take my picture with one of the nice
old ladies. I wore a new lead and collar on that Boss Woman
bought specially ~ she said it wasn't possible to wear my
everyday one because it was dirty and smelt of rabbit poo.
I had to wear a bright green flash as well, so everyone
could recognise me straight away. One nice old lady wanted
to give me a cuddly mouse but Boss Woman said I couldn't
have it because I would eat it in 2 seconds. As if ....
I didn't go, I had to stay at home.
Boss Woman said when I am a bit older and don't jump up
so much then I can go as well. I think I would like it as
I like plenty of attention and giving everyone licky sloppy
kisses. Lungs for dinner. Gnipper the cat didn't eat hers
so me and Polly shared it.

MY BIRTHDAY
TODAY. Yippeeee I am now 2 years old. Boss Woman got me
a really nice leather collar for my birthday present ~
nice isn't it? and she bought some really expensive Smart
Price supermarket steak for me and Amber's dinner. Big
Guy says that she spoils us. It's snowing today, huge
ginormous snowflakes but me and Amber liked it and ran
all over the fields trying to catch the them. I chased
some geese in the sky but they were too high up for me
to jump up and get them. We lost Boss Woman in the fields
today ~ we couldn't see her anywhere because of the big
snowflakes. Luckily, she shouted to us so we could find
her. Phew. I was getting a bit worried at one point. We
like the snow but it was a bit cold. I was glad when we
got back and had our steak dinner. I
don't think it is funny when Boss Woman throws snowballs
at us. She was laughing her head off when the snowballs
were hitting us and Polly was trying to jump up to catch
them but I didn't, because I didn't think it was funny
at all.

Saturday
8th November |
Me,
Amber, Boss Woman and Big Guy went a walk around Loch Muick
today. It rained most of the day and the path was waterlogged
and muddy. We still really enjoyed the walk though. We met
loads of people who made a fuss of me and Amber. One woman
who lived in Somerset had doggie biscuits in her pocket,
even though she had left her dog at home and she gave me
and Amber one. The path was so waterlogged at the end of
Loch Muick that Big Guy carried Boss Woman over it. Honestly,
what a sook. I found a dead grass snake that I got in my
mouth so that I could show Amber but Boss Woman made me
leave it.
Boss Woman came back from Amsterdam yesterday. I really
missed her because I had to go into day kennels all day
and I missed my long walks. She said they sell funny wacky
backy over in Amsterdam but whatever that is, she didn't
bring me any back. Someone rang her and said they wanted
her to walk their dog and to to do some work in the garden,
picking up all the dog poo from their garden that they hadn't
been bothered to pick up themselves. Boss Woman was laughing
and said that the woman had a cheek and that she was a dog
walker and not dogsbody. It was a
nice long walk round Loch Muick but I was a bit tired and
muddy when we got back to the car. Chicken for tea. |

It's such
a lovely warm day today. We went down to Skatie Shore
for a run. The sea was smelling really nice and it was
so calm. Me and Amber chased some rabbits (as usual) but
didn't catch any because they were too fast. I had a good
game of chasing with a friendly Bearded Collie. Boss Woman
said he looked so thin, like he needed feeding up. On
the way back home, Boss Woman called at the Butchers to
buy lots and lots of hearts and lungs. I was thinking
maybe she had bought it all for a party she might be giving
me in 2 weeks time, for my birthday. She said if it was
a nice day then we would go for an extra long walk to
celebrate my second birthday. We
walked right on by the rocks today. I like it on there,
climbing on the rocks and paddling in the sea and chasing
rabbits. The seagulls were making a lot of noise and I
chased them as well. Heart for lunch, which I like a lot.

Friday
31st October
|
It was
hailing really hard today. Huge pieces of ice called hailstones
were hitting us really hard and hurting our faces. I tried
running away from them and I kept looking back to see
if they were following me but I couldn't outrun them.
Boss Woman was so wet that her wellies filled up with
water and they made a very strange sqeaking noise when
she walked. I was really scared
and was glad when we got back to the house. We all got
very wet and me and Polly were shivering we were so cold.
Boss Woman put a heat pad in my bed for me and it was
soooo cosy, it was lovely and warm.

Tuesday
28th October |
We
went on Balmedie beach today. Boss Woman was shivering she
was so cold. Well, if she had run about up and down the
beach playing chasing like me and Amber were doing then
she would have kept warm like we did. It
was snowing on the beach and the sea had big enormous waves.

Here I
am, back again. Boss Woman floated off to France for a
week so me and Amber had to go into kennels down the road.
It wasn't too bad and it's a lot better than one I had
to go in before, when I was little. I'm really really
glad to be back home now though. We went on St. Cyrus
beach today for a long long run. Boss Woman said it was
hot and sunny in France, well, it was freezing cold here.
She gave us a shower when we got back from the beach.
She got some new shampoo and she wanted to try it out
on us. It smelt lovely and now I smell lovely as well
and my coat is all shiny and soft. She rang somebody up
about dog walking so it looks like she might be doing
some dog walking for people, I just hope she takes me
with her because I like other dogs and I certainly like
walking. I was soooo glad she came
back. I was beginning to get worried that she had forgotten
about us. It's lovely to be back home and I think Gnipper
the cat missed us as well. When we went for our walk,
stupid Polly went jumping about in the sea but I didn't
~ it was far too cold.

Boss Woman
got a letter this morning from Canine Concern, to say
that I am now a qualified registered Therapet Dog. Apparently
I can now visit old people at the Care Homes where they
live and help cheer them up. I think I will like that
because I do like meeting people and having a 'clap' as
they call it up here. Boss Woman has been arranging it
this morning and there are 2 Care Homes that already want
us to visit. Cool. Boss Woman said she will have to keep
a close eye on me because most old people are very nice
but some might be grumpy and kick me so she will have
to keep me close by her as she said I am precious and
she doesn't want me to get hurt. Boss Woman said she would
be grumpy as well if she had to live in an Old Folks Home.
She said that when I get sensible
and stop jumping up for attention then she will get me
assessed for a PAT dog as well. I think I will like that,
as I do like attention and people talking to me and I
love giving people slobbery kisses.

Big Guy
had to go down to near Keswick in the Lake District with
his work yesterday so me and Boss Woman went with him.
It is a very posh hotel at Lodore Falls where we are staying
and they even let ME stay here. While Big Guy was working
me and Boss woman went on a lovely walk to Keswick We
met an old guy who was walking his dog which was a Labrador
x Collie Cross and he walked with us back along a path
on Cat Bells hill. His dog was really friendly and we
played chasing and sniffing out rabbits. It has been raining
hard nearly all day but luckily I had my cagoule on that
Boss Woman made me, so I stayed fairly dry until I jumped
in Derwentwater for a swim with my cagoule on. We went
to a cafe where I was allowed to go in as well and we
shared an egg and bacon sandwich. We met loads of people
on the walk and some of them laughed at me with my cagoule
on, because they thought I looked 'cute' and everyone
made a fuss of me. Only thing was, Boss Woman had her
bright blue wellies on ~ she has no shame, it was so embarassing
walking with her. We saw a big fat guy with a Boxer. Now,
I don't like Boxers ~ ever since Boss Woman took me to
doggy training when I was very small and Bob the Boxer
used to jump all over me and frighten me, I have never
liked them. Well, this big fat guy and his Boxer were
horrible. I growled at the slobbery chops Boxer and when
the big fat guy tried to get hold of me I growled at him
as well. He kept saying he wasn't scared of me whle he
was trying to get hold of me and Boss Woman told him 3
times not to touch me but he was still trying to get hold
of me, so I let him clearly know that if he did get hold
of me that I would BITE him. I mean, I had to protect
Boss Woman from him because neither of us trusted him
~ he looked a nasty man and he would not leave me alone.

Saturday
4th October |
Boss
Woman has been really upset and crying today. Bonnie, my
litter sister has been put to death by the vet. Because
she wasn't a very well balanced dog because of her owners,
she bit Auntie Tracie of the Staffie Rescue who went to
rescue and re-home her (again) from the people that took
her as a puppy and she is now dead. It's not Auntie Tracie's
fault. Boss Woman doesn't think it's Bonnie's fault, she
thinks it's the owner's fault for not realising that Bonnie
needing firm guidance, firm handling and good training and
plenty of excercise, then she could even have stayed with
them. Poor Bonnie, at least she won't suffer any more. Me
and Polly are glad that we live here. We get well fed and
well looked after. Also we get to go on very very long walks
and runs in the fields. |
Thursday
2nd October |
Boss
Woman can't take us for a run in the field until this afternoon
because she is busy baking biscuits for the market on Saturday.
I wish she would hurry up, I'm getting a bit bored waiting
for her. I don't
feel very well right now and I was sick last night. Boss
Woman has put me a nice warm heat pad on my bed to keep
me warm. |
Monday
22nd September
|
Went to
Skatie Shore today. I don't really like it much down there
anymore, it is getting too busy. Me and a Jack Russell
were having a sniffy sniffy and it bit my leg so I growled
at it. It's Boss Woman picked it up because I think she
was scared in case I bit it back, well I should have because
it was a nasty little ankle biter, but I just barked at
it to tell it off.

Saturday
21st September
|
Me, Big
Guy and Boss Woman went to Northumberland for the weekend,
they went to pick up some day old Maran chickens. Boss
Woman likes these chickens because when they get older,
they will lay the darkest brown egg you have ever seen.
They are really noisy, they won't stop cheeping, even
when Boss Woman feeds them, they still make a noise all
the time. We had a lovely time staying at a Bed and Breaksfast
in Carlton, North Yorkshire and the owners even let ME
stay there. I got to go to the Pub with Boss Woman and
Big Guy when they went for a bar meal. Boss Woman saved
me her Venison Sausage, it was very tasty. There was some
nice people that stayed in the Bed & Breakfast as
well that we saw at the pub later. One of the men kept
making a fuss of me and said he wanted to take me home
with him and kept hold of me all the time. I think he
liked me. Boss Woman said he would soon send me back home
again when he realised that I like eating dead moles.
We went a 12 mile walk over the Moors and somehow we strayed
off the path. There was a big fat guy there with a very
strange accent. Boss Woman said it was supposed to be
a posh English accent but it sounded gobbleygook to me,
like nothing I had ever heard before. Don't know why he
couldn't pronounce his words properly ~ maybe he was drunk?
He said Big Guy and Boss Woman had no right to be there
and that the DOG especially shouldn't have been there,
even on lead, like I was. Boss Woman said she was sorry
for squashing his grass and that in Scotland we had access
rights over all land. Well, he said that we weren't in
Scotland, it was England and that we had to leave straight
away. On the way back we had a long walk on Ross Links
near Seahouses. Big Guy got us some Fish and Chips and
I had a whole fish to myself. Boss Woman said that Big
Guy always spoils me. It was lovely and warm and I really
liked running on he beach. I got
to go to Linn of Dee with Stella Labrador. She was very
well behaved and didn't keep annoying me like she normally
does.

Tuesday
16th September |
It
was chucking it down this morning when we went down to Skatie
Shore and we all got wet and muddy. Boss Woman wore her
fancy new bright blue wellies with stripes inside, they
are so bright it is embarassing walking with her. Me and
Amber still had great fun chasing the rabbits though AND
we nearly caught one. I found a lime green golf ball in
the Forest but it was a bit hard on my teeth when I tried
to bite it. Donna from the newspaper is going to put me
in the newspaper again and also write about the dog biscuits
that Boss Woman makes. Donna has 2 dogs as well, that's
probably why she likes writing about dogs. Boss Woman and
Big Guy are trying to get some sponsors for their walk in
Nepal, with the money going to the Scottish Staffie Rescue
like it did last time we did a walk. Only this time, they
said I can't go with them. I think she's mean. I would behave
myself and not scare the Yaks, honest.
I really liked it down at the beach, we
were
running about all over, it was great fun. Polly went in
the sea as well, but I didn't want to get salty water on
me. We had fish for dinner, with cheese and some tomato
mixed in, it was really lovely. |
Friday
12th September |
Walked
over to Barras today, it was a really nice walk and we got
to run about in the fields chasing each other for ages.
We saw 2 old labradors being taken for a walk by their Boss
Woman. The oldest was 14 years old and could hardly walk,
she was wobbling about on her feet and walking really slowly.
I hope I don't get like that when I get old. I wanted to
play with the other one but he was too old to chase me even
though I was hiding in the long grass and jumping out on
him and running up and down and round and round barking
at him telling him to chase me, he couldn't. His Boss Woman
said she thought I was really funny and she was laughing
at me. Boss Woman told her I was just showing off. I was
not, so... Boss Woman picked loads of Blackberries, she
said they were for making Blackbery and Apple Biscuits for
the next market. Well, I hope she saves us some, because
we like Blackberries so much that we even pick our own.
Me and Polly ate loads of Blackberries, Boss Woman said
if we ate any more we would get belly ache. I liked playing
chase with Polly and I kept hiding in the wheat field but
Polly always found me. I ate a dead mouse off the road on
the way back, luckily Boss Woman didn't see me otherwise
I would have got into trouble. Beef for tea. Mmm. |
Friday
5th September
|
Went
up Bennachie today and walked about 6 miles. It was lovely
and warm. We saw 2 men with digging machines doing some
path repairs. One of the machines had a MASSIVE jaw on the
front with sharp teeth, so I growled at it and barked really
loudly ~ after all, I had to protect us all from it attacking
us. It looked really fiercesome. I
had to be carried over some rocks because my legs weren't
long enough to get over them. I really liked the walk and
we went through some Forest and in the water, it was lovely.
|
Friday
29th August |
Boss
Woman took us climbing to Lochnagar today. It was a bit
steep and bouldery near the top. We got bitten by big flies,
midges and flying ants and I had lumps all over me. We met
loads of people on this walk and most people made a big
fuss of me and Amber. There was some grouse making a really
stupid noise so I chased them to shut them up. It was really
hot again today. Boss Woman had to
lift me up some of the big rocks because my legs were too
short and I couldn't get up them. I had trouble crossing
a wide river as well ~ Boss Woman wouldn't carry me over
so I got really wet when I went across. Boss Woman said
it wasn't deep enough for me to drown but I was still scared.
I was really tired when we got home. |
Thursday
28th August |
It's
really really hot today ~ 25 degrees. We only did a 3 mile
walk because it was so hot. Poor Amber was having trouble
and she kept sitting down in the long grass and refused
to move because she was so hot. I wanted to her to play
chase me because I found a rubber glove and was teasing
her with it, but she wouldn't run after me. Got loads more
blackberries (me and Amber picked our own) but Boss Woman
wouldn't share hers, she said she was keeping them for herself
to make Apple and Blackberry Crumble and that me and Amber
couldn't have any. A bit mean I think.
I was drinking loads and loads of water today and Boss Woman
poured some over my chest because I was so hot and panting.
I was glad when we got home. Chicken for dinner which we
had to share with the Gnipper the (grumpy) cat. |
Wednesday
27th August |
It's
really warm today. We went walking on the back roads and
passed a field of cows and they had some calves with them.
There was a big bull in the field as well. Me and Amber
were barking at them to let them know just because they
were bigger than us that we weren't scared. Boss Woman got
a bit worried because she said the bull could easily have
trampled the gate down so we didn't go any further and went
back down the road. She told us to stop barking as well.
I don't know why she was so worried, me and Amber would
have protected her. We picked some
blackberries and they were really delicious. They were nicer
than the raspberries we picked the other day, I think. We
sniffed a black hairy caterpillar ~ I wondered if it was
black because it had been eating blackberries as well? Polly
stung her nose on a nettle when she picked a blackberry.
Ha Ha. |
Friday
22nd August |
Ohhh
I've had a really busy day today. We went shopping to Aberdeen
then later on we went for a long run in the Forest. This
afternoon this nice lady came to see me. She was doing all
sorts, asking me to give paw (which I did) she was touching
my feet, stroking my head and she tried to make me jump
with a loud noise but I just ignored her and she was asking
Boss Woman all sorts of questions about me. Anyway, it seems
that I am going to be a Therapet Dog. I think I will like
that, it is a job for me to do. I get to go into Old Folks
Homes and meet the old people. They get to talk to me and
Boss Woman and get to stroke me and give me a biscuit and
I have to wear a flourescent flash on my lead to show I
am working. Some of them might be grumpy but Boss Woman
said I could cheer them up. I like
it in the Forest because there is a lot of things to chase
and smell. I chased a rabbit but I ran into some bushes
and I got stuck. Boss Woman said that when I am a bit older
and don't jump up so much to say hello, then I can work
as a Therapet dog as well. |
Friday
15th August |
The
German Shepherd who belongs to the Mongy guy, has run away.
They can't find him anywhere. He can soon get out of the
garden because they always leave their gate open all the
time so I'm not surprised he's run away. I don't think I'd
like to be locked in the back of a car for 2 hours like
they do with Max. Poor Max. Polly
hurt her leg today, chasing me in the Forest. Boss Woman
massaged it better and she's okay now. |
Thursday
14th August |
Loads
going off here today. Tractors all over the place, Combine
Harvesters making a right racket and a load of dust. It's
like all the people are working in the fields to get all
the stuff chopped down, baled and stored before it starts
to rain. It was a bit dodgy going down the road on the way
to the fields today with all the tractors and things flying
down the road at high speed. Chased a hare but didn't catch
it because it had a good head start ~ I didn't notice it
until it was about 30 metres away. Bit
of excitement as well. Madam Duck has just hatched out 2
baby ducks today. They are a bit naughty though because
they keep escaping out of the pen and Madam Duck keeps quacking
really loud to call them back. Beef heart for tea. Lovely
it was. |
Wednesday
13th August |
Ha,
Ha. I bet you thought Boss Woman was mushroom poisoned,
with her not updating my dog blog. She can be a bit slow
at doing what I tell her sometimes. Well, she has been picking
(and eating) even more of them so they must be tasty enough
although even I wouldn't eat them. She's been very busy
this week making us some doggie biscuits and she is also
going to make them for other dogs and sell them at the Farmers
Market. I must say they are rather tasty, the cheese ones
are my favourite. We went down to
Skatie Shore yesterday but we couldn't run right on the
beach because it was full of a coach party of people poking
about around the rocks. Boss Woman said it is because it
is where the Highland Fault (whatever that is) emerges into
the sea so they were all interested in it. There is a load
more litter in the forest and down at the beach and we have
to be careful not to tread on the glass. |
Thursday
7th August |
This
might be my last ever blog entry. Boss Woman took us in
the Forest today and she was picking some really bright
orange horrible looking mushrooms called Chanterelles and
she and Big Guy are going to eat them for their tea. I just
hope that if she gets poisoned that someone else can feed
me as I wouldn't like to think that I was going to starve
to death because she had died of mushroom poisoning. She
is always telling me and Polly off for eating nasty things
off the floor and what does she do? She finds horrible orange
things, picks them and then cooks them. Last time we listen
to her I can tell you. We had chicken for tea. Mmm. |
Tuesday
5th August |
Me
first today because it's my first ever birthday. I am getting
a new jumper for my birthday in readiness for the cold North
East wind when it comes in October. We had a lovely run
down the coast path again and it was so quiet. The sea was
so calm (Boss Woman said it was as flat as a mill pond)
and the Guillemots were flying so close to the water that
me and Polly thought they would catch their wings on the
water and fall in the sea. We had chicken for dinner which
I like. I have a new
Airedale Terrier penfriend think she lives in South Africa
but I am not too sure. She is called Lukla because her Boss
woman went walking near Mount Everest and the very scary
landing strip where the plane landed was called Lukla. |
Sunday
3rd August |
Got
into really BIG trouble today. Amber's Boss Man took us
for a run in the field and I chased a hare and got lost,
so I ran all the way home by myself. Big Guy and Boss Woman
couldn't understand what had happened.. I was really scared
Boss Woman would punish me and I was shaking like a jelly
and laid on the floor really flat. Luckily, she was only
a bit cross and put me back on lead then took me to look
for Amber and her Boss Man. Now he says that when he takes
me out I will have to stay on the lead all the time because
it's not the first time I have chased something and got
lost. Sigh ... Life is so hard ...No one understands that
when I chase something, I just get carried away and get
lost. I don't run away, ever. I don't
like being out of sight where I can't see anybody. I did
wonder where Polly had gone though, but I just thought that
it would be more dinner for me so I wasn't too bothered.
Anyway, lungs for dinner today. Lovely. |
Friday
1st August |
There
was a really nice man following our car up the road from
Stonehaven today, he was driving a silver 4 x 4 thing. He
was driving really really close ~ I think he was following
us closely so he could have a good look at me and Amber
in the back of the car. I could see the whites of his eyes
(they looked bloodshot actually). He probably recognised
me from the newspaper last week and wanted my pawograph.
Boss Woman said he was a stupid idiotic tail-gating bad
driver whatever that means.We ate
some more raspberries today. There was a haar at the beach
and woods where we go and we couldn't see very far. The
sea was very rough as well. |
Thursday
31st July
|
We
had a right feast in Bin Forest today. We were all picking
loads of Bilberries and Raspberries. Boss Woman said me
and Amber are really clever because we can pick our own
berries off the bushes I had a game of running around with
a Lurcher dog and a really nice woman made a big fuss of
me and Amber. She said we were the fittest muscly dogs she
had seen for a long time. We gave her a licky kiss to show
we liked her as well. Then we saw 3 grumpy old ladies who
ignored us and their faces looked all sucked in. Boss Woman
said it looked like they had been sucking lemons. I wonder
what lemons taste like? I have never
picked my own Raspberries before or even tasted them ~ they
were lovely and sweet. We passed 2 wind farms on the way
driving up and Polly was being really stupid and growling
at them. |
Saturday
26th July |
I
am in the paper today and I have had loads of emails saying
people had read my story and asking about me. Wow, I am
sooo famous now.
It was a bit boring today because we didn't go out for our
long walk until tea time because Boss Woman was busy on
the computer.. When her and Big Guy did take us out though,
we had a lovely time on Balmedie beach chasing all the seagulls
and running and running down the beach as fast as we could
and going in the sea. We had Pilchards for our dinner, yum.
Honestly, Polly is such a show off. We went for a walk down
to Skatie Shore yesterday and we had to be really careful
going through the woods because of all the broken glass
on the floor. There was someone on the beach having a fire
and the smoke got up my nose and made me sneeze a lot.

Wednesday
23rd July |
Went
on the coast path at Gourdon today. Boss Woman said she
likes this walk when it is so warm as it is nice and cool
with the sea breeze. She told me off because I saw a Brown
and White Spaniel and I sneaked up on his grass, pinched
his toy and ran away with it. Boss Woman took it off me
and put it back on the grass. Tut tut. We saw loads of people
that made a fuss of me and Boss Woman was talking to them
~ I do wish she wouldn't because it's boring just sat there
waiting for her to stop doing all that talking. I went to
say hello to some men building a house and I went in the
house to make sure they were doing it properly. I nearly
got squashed by a roof truss. We saw
Bod the Border Terrier. I think he likes me because he keeps
coming up to me and sniffing. Boss Woman stood between us
to keep us apart. His Boss Man said that Bod had a lady
friend who was having some puppies any day now. |
Sunday
20th July |
Went
for a walk up to the stone circle today and had a good run
in the field chasing rabbits. My friend Stella came for
tea and we went for another walk down to Catterline. I like
Stella because we play fighting together. The nasty Mongy
guy over the road was shoothing birds in the fields with
his air rifle when I when past his garden ~ I was just hoping
he wouldn't shoot me. He was shooting the Swallows nest
from the top of his house as well, I hope he didn't kill
the baby birds inside it. He kept shooting at a target he
had drawn on some board, it was a naked woman with big boobs.
Boss Woman thinks he is dangerously weird. I
don't like Stella because she jumps on me and annoys me
all the time. |
Friday
18th July |
Was
a bit worried this morning in case I got into trouble. I
pood on the floor last night ~ I just could not wait until
Big Guy let me out at 6.15 a.m. Boss Woman gave us some
rabbit she got off the gamekeeper for our dinner yesterday
and she said she thought it was a bit 'rich' whatever that
means and that had made me poo. What a smell! I'm glad I
didn't have to clean it up. Boss Woman said that we can
only have biscuits today for our dinner in case we get an
upset tummy again. Boss Woman said not to worry and I couldn't
help it, but she said I had better not get into the habit
of pooing on the floor. We went to
Skatie Shore for a walk and we met a grumpy golden Cocker
Spaniel then later on we met a black and white Cocker Spaniel
with a grumpy owner. We were digging on the beach and chasing
the seagulls. |
Tuesday
15th July
|
It
was lovely and warm today when we had a run down the coast
path at Gourdon. A big black Labrador ran straight down
the path and jumped all over Amber. Boss Woman had to pick
her up. I got a big rash all over my tummy and it was all
swollen. Boss Woman said she thought it was with the nettles
I had been running through. She gave me a Piriton tablet
squashed in some cheese to take the swelling down. Boss
Woman says I am going to have a story written about me in
the newspaper. Cool. She has sent someone called Donna who
works for the newspaper, some pictures of me and has given
her loads of information about the walks and things and
especially about the Great Glen Way walk that I did. This
Donna woman has read my dog blog and the rest of my website
and thinks it is really good. I hope Boss Woman doesn't
get all the credit ~ after all it is ME that writes this
dog blog. We saw loads of big black
Guillamots on the rocks with their wings stretched out drying
them. I was going to chase them but they were on some rocks
in the sea and the water was too deep for me to paddle.
|
Tuesday
17th June |
Got
into trouble today for not coming back when Boss Woman told
me to. What she doesn't realise is that when I am chasing
a hare I do not like being distracted by her shouting at
me. I could have caught it as well ~ I was just about to
chase it across the road when she went MAD ~ sigh. So I
had to go back to her. She was really cross. She can be
sooooo inconsiderate sometimes. We had Pilchards in Tomato
Sauce for dinner, which I like. Me and Polly went in the
wheat field. The wheat was so long, we couldn't see over
the top and we had great fun chasing rabbits, but I got
a bit worried because I couldn't see Boss Woman anywhere.
I was jumping up really high but I still couldn't see her.
Luckily she whistled so I could find her again. |
Monday
16th June |
You
know the Mongy guy over the road who had Bernie put to death?
He has a big German Shepherd now and he still doesn't excercise
this one either. Sometimes he even locks it in the back
of his car. It came over to our garden today, peed on our
lawn and sniffed around everywhere ~ all by itself. Boss
Woman took it back over to where it lives and the girl just
said ~ yeah whatever. Boss Woman is really annoyed that
they are allowed to have another dog. It looked like it
needed it's coat brushing, it was all dirty and tangled
up. Me and Polly are really glad they
we don't live with them. |
Tuesday
10th June |
On
Catterline beach today, we saw a huge fat bloated dead seal.
It smelt lovely and me and Amber wanted to go and have a
closer look and maybe get a bite or two, but Boss Woman
called us back a bit crossly and made us walk at the side
of her. She held her nose with her fingers ~ I think she
liked the smell so much that she was holding it in her nose
so it couldn't escape. Boss Woman was talking to a couple
from France who were cycling around Scotland on a tandem.
Me and Polly drank some really cold
water from the stream at the beach. We were so thirsty because
it is a warm day today and we walked a long way. In the
olden days, the stream was the water source for the village.
|
Saturday
31st May |
My
friend Stella the Labrador came with us on a walk over Braemar
today. We had loads of fun swimming in the River Dee and
running about all over the mountain. I followed a scent
for a long way then Boss Woman called me back because at
the end of the scent were 2 huge stags and she was worried
in case I got gored to death. As if .. Me and Stella did
loads of swimming but Amber can't swim very well ~ in fact
she sinks straight to the bottom so she didn't go in the
water much at all. It was a really hot day and luckily there
were plenty of streams for us to drink out of. Boss Woman
saw an Adder as well. Boss Woman tripped over a big rock
and fell and then she fell and hurt herself when she was
crossing the river. Honestly, she is sooooo clumsy. Me and
Amber gave her big kisses to make her feel better. Boss
Woman thought I should have been swimming with Polly and
Stella so she put me in the deep water but my legs wouldn't
work fast enough and I was sinking down to the bottom and
had to be pulled out of the water really quickly. My head
went under the water and my mouth got full of water as well.
It's not fair ~ Boss Woman laughed at me and she now calls
me GLUGGLES. |
Tuesday
27th May |
We
had a lot of drama here yesterday. Boss Woman took me and
Amber down to the beach at Catterline and we saw 2 people
and a Collie they had tied to a boat. We walked right on
by Seal Island and me and Amber had great fun, loads to
sniff at and we found loads of dead seagulls to eat (even
though Boss Woman went mad with us). On our way back from
the beach at about 1.30 p.m. the Collie was still tied up
so Boss Woman tried to ring the Dog Warden but her phone
didn't work. Then we met 3 other people coming down the
hill and they were looking for the old Boss Man of the Collie.
Anyway, it turned out that the old Boss Man of the Collie
had been washed in the sea and drowned and they found him
found near Seal Island just near where Boss Woman had been
sat and me and Amber had been sniffing. The Police and Coastguards
were called in and they found him at 3 p.m. I wonder what
will happen to the Collie now his Boss Man has died? |
Saturday
24th May |
Well,
we are back off the long walk now ~ did you read my walk
diary? I was tired when I got back but now I am ready for
another long walk. I got almost £100 in sponsor money
and it is not all collected yet. I think Tracie at Scottish
Staffie Rescue will be pleased with that and I just hope
it can help some of the dogs in rescue as they are not all
as lucky as I am. I think we are going to climb up Lochnagar
next week if the weather is fine and we will be taking Amber
with us. We only go on our normal 3 miles or more walk every
day now and it's not enough ~ I like to walk a LONG way.
I missed Polly, Boss Woman and Big
Guy last week. Boss Woman said my legs were too small to
carry me all the 73 miles ~ at least I could have done some
of it though. They COULD have taken me, I would have liked
to have gone camping and searching for the Loch Ness Monster.
We are going to go on a nice 15 mile walk next weekend I
think so I am looking forward to that ~ I like climbing
the mountains and it will be my 2nd Munro I will have climbed.
I got to eat tinned dog meat while they were away, which
I like very much. Boss Woman doesn't let me eat tinned dog
food when she is at home. |
Tuesday
13th May |
We
are off camping this afternoon, up to Fort Augustus. We
are going to Fort William tomorrow to start the walk and
Boss Woman said I hadn't to run about so much chasing rabbits
and things because it is a long walk and I will need to
save my energy for walking not running. Big Guy said that
when we walk past Loch Ness that if we see the monster I
hadn't to jump in the water and start chasing it ~ Ha Ha,
I think he's having me on. There isn't really a monster????
I'll have my photo taken by Loch Ness so you can see I have
been there. It's not fair I can't
go because Boss Woman said I am too young to walk so far
every single day. I'm sure I could walk so far, I don't
think it's fair that Polly gets all the fun ....... I hope
the Loch Ness monster eats Polly ~ that'll save her right. |
Friday
9th May |
It
is really hot here today and when we went on our coast path
walk, me and Amber got really thirsty and drank loads of
water ~ luckily Boss Woman had taken 2 bottles of water
with her. My leg still hurts so Big Guy said we might not
be able to do the Great Glen Way walk next week if I am
still limping and we might have to do it the week after
instead. Have you sponsored me yet ? It is in a good cause.
When we went out for our night time
walk tonight, I found something nice and smelly so I rolled
in it to get the lovely smell on me. Trouble is, Boss Woman
made me have a soapy shower to wash it all off. I smell
all soapy sweet now. Yuk. I don't like showers. Polly hid
under the bed just in case she was put in the shower as
well. |
Wednesday
7th May |
My
leg hurts a bit today. Me and Amber were chasing hares yesterday
and I ran too fast and hurt my leg. We are going out for
a nice long walk this afternoon if my leg stops hurting.
Boss Woman has been training me how
to 'wait' today. She said I was doing very well and I got
some nice sausage treats every time I did it right. Boss
Woman said it was important to learn it because it might
save my life one day if I run out into the road and I 'wait'
when I am told. |
Saturday
3rd May |
I
get to go first today because it is a BIG celebration. I
climbed my first ever mountain ~ Mt. Keen. I was a bit tired
going up the hill but it was easy peasy coming down again.
Boss Woman said that I was a good girl and did very well
because I have little legs and they had to work very hard.
There was some really nice cold streams to drink out of
because we were very thirsty with all that running up and
down. I really liked it and it was the longest walk I have
ever done. I think we walked about 15 miles altogether.
It was my second mountain I have climbed and I chased loads
and loads of rabbits. We saw a lot of dead ones as well.
It was very hot going up and at the top it was very windy
and cold. We had a nice tin of dog meat when we got down
to the bottom. We drank some water out of Queen's Well in
Glen Esk. It was a very posh well ~ apparently Queen Victoria
and Prince Albert drank from it a long time ago. I hope
they didn't pollute it by spitting in it or anything. The
water was very cold and it was so clear you could see to
the bottom of it. |
Thursday
1st May |
We
went in Scolty Forest for a lovely long walk today and it
was really sunny and warm. I heard
my first ever cuckoo. |
Wednesday
30th April |
We
got wet and muddy when we went in the field today ~ it was
pouring down. I saw a rabbit so I chased it down the rabbit
hole and tried to dig it out, but Amber kept standing on
top of me and getting in the way. I
was helping Polly dig the rabbit out but she kept getting
in front of me so I couldn't dig properly. We didn't get
the rabbit though, it was well hidden underground and didn't
come out again. We'll watch out for it again next time we
go in the field. |
Tuesday
29th April |
Really
enjoyed my walk today. We went for about 4 miles. It is
really nice and warm and I got to jump in the Burn. We saw
skylarks (they sang a lovely song), Herons, Swallows and
Lapwings (they made a very strange noise).
It's a good job Boss Woman took some water with her, because
it was nice and warm and we were running about a lot, I
was really really thirsty. We had some fish for lunch and
Boss Woman mixed in some plain yoghurt. It was lovely and
I ate mine in about 30 seconds. |
Wednesday
2nd April |
It
was really warm today. 13 deg. Me and Amber were panting
a bit going up Scolty Hill, luckily Boss Woman had taken
us a drink of water because we were really thirsty when
we got to the top. |
Monday
31st March |
We
saw loads of stuff today on the beach, that had been washed
up. Another dead seal (just as tasty as the last one) and
a dead porpoise (also tasty). The porpoise had loads and
loads of pointy teeth. Boss Woman said that was so it could
hold the fish in its mouth when it was feeding. We also
saw some toads hopping about. I went over to have a look
at them and Boss Woman said I had better not lick them or
eat them, otherwise I might die or at least hallucinate.
Boss Woman gave us both a bath as well because we had been
rolling on the dead seal to get the nice smell on us. She
said that we were dirty filthy disgusting animals and that
we stank. Now, that's a bit harsh. She can be quite cutting
sometime. |
Sunday
30th March |
Boss
Woman is a bit upset today. There was a big Rottweiller
x St. Bernard living over the road, called Bernie. He was
only 12 months old. His Boss Man was a really stupid lazy
irresponsible person who watched television all day. Even
though they live next to a field, they never ever took Bernie
out for a run or a walk, not once. Sometimes when we walked
past their house, Bernie used to come running out of their
garden and growl at me. I was a bit scared of him because
he was so big. Well, he got excited last Saturday and as
a lady jogged past his garden he ran at her. She was scared
and as she tried to fend him off, he bit her arm and bit
her leg. The lady was really scared and badly bitten and
she had to jump into someones car to get away from him.
The police were called. Well, because of Berne's lazy, stupid
and uncaring owner, Bernie has now had to die. He had a
needle stuck in him and put to death. I hope it didn't hurt
him. Boss Woman said it is a real shame that Bernie had
to suffer when it wasn't his fault. He was just a bored,
untrained dog with too much energy and aggression for his
own good. Boss Woman said training and plenty of exercise
would have made Bernie into a really nice dog. Well I love
running in the field. Poor Bernie. |
Saturday
29th March |
Went
shopping to Aberdeen with Boss Woman and Big Guy today.
I shared their All Day Breakfast pie. It was really fine.
They didn't take me, which I thought was a bit mean. |
Thursday
27th March |
We
found a dead seal on the beach today. When Boss Woman called
me back, I managed to have a few bites out of it before
I let on that I had heard her calling ~ it was sooo tasty.
An old guy gave Boss Woman some tiny Cowrie shells and a
piece of black jet he had found on the beach. His Spaniel
was called Amber and it was just as grumpy as our Amber.
I'm not grumpy, I just don't like
other dogs much that's all, especially when they come sniffing
round me. The smell of the seal was so nice that I rolled
about it in a few times so I got the smell on my back. Boss
Woman told us off, as usual. We had some ox's heart for
lunch. I do like it, it's one of my favourite things AND
Boss Woman gave us a shower. |
Monday
24th March |
We
had a run in the Forest today. It was snowing like mad,
huge flakes. Boss Woman was throwing snowballs for us to
catch, then she got a bit mean and started pelting us with
snowballs. Worst thing is, she was laughing and thought
it was funny but I didn't. |
Saturday
22nd March |
Boss
Woman and Big Guy bought a backpacking tent today in preparation
for when we walk the Great Glen Way. I am really looking
forward to it because I like walking and I get to see all
exciting things and smell lovely smells. You can sponsor
me if you want. I think we will be walking about 17 or 18
miles a day. I can't go because my
legs aren't strong enough just yet until I get a bit older.
Boss Woman said when I am old enough and strong enough she
will take me up Lochnagar Mountain ~ probably in July when
I will be 1 year old. |
Thursday
20th March |
Oh,
you wouldn't believe what an awful week I have had. It was
Boss Woman's birthday this week and she went away for a
few days. I had to go into day boarding kennels. I didn't
like it one bit and I cried all day and I haven't been eating
much because I was so upset. She is back now and I am so
glad. I am eating loads now and she gave me some scrambled
egg for tea and said she will take me on a very long walk
tomorrow. What a relief. We gave her
lots and lots of licky kisses. |
Thursday
13th March |
Went
on a new walk on a beach today ~ we have never been on that
beach before. Because of all the storms we have been having,
there was some dead seagulls lying around. They smelt lovely
and me and Amber rolled all over them to get the smell on
us and Boss Woman told us off. We saw a HUGE big staffie
and it was supposed to be a blue colour (it looked grey
to me) it was really friendly and kept wagging it's tail
and barking at me. He couldn't play though because his Boss
Woman had him on lead. I just ran round and round him, barking
at him all the time to let him know that I liked him and
wanted him to play. I jumped in the sea and chased some
noisy swans ~ they were making a lot of strange noises and
were annoying me. |
Sunday
9th March |
Boss
Woman and Big Guy just got back from Crufts tonight. They
bought me loads of presents. A nice new jumper, a new lead,
and a new water dish. Boss Woman also brought me a new plastic
dog whistle. She said she had been watching some really
good gun dog training and she was going to practise on me
using the whistle. I like training so I don't mind. She
said that they had seen some really nice dogs but none were
as nice as me or Amber. I think she msised us. We missed
her and we were really happy to see her back. I gave her
loads of kisses. I gave her loads
of kisses as well and she gave us some nice dog food she
had brought back. |
Thursday
6th March |
Had
a nice walk on the coast path today. There was a coach parked
in the car park and I went on it and found the drivers sandwich
on the backseat, which I ate. Boss Woman said it was naughty
and she said that one day the coach will drive off with
me on it. There was a guy throwing 2 sticks for his dog
so I pinched one and ran away with it ~ the guy got a bit
cross. His dog was sniffing round Amber and Boss Woman chased
it away because Amber is in season and the dog wouldn't
leave her alone and was jumping up at Boss Woman and making
a nuisance of itself. It's not fair,
I have to be kept on lead all the time for the next 2 weeks.
Polly got to run about all over but I couldn't. |
Wednesday
5th March |
Howard
the duck died today. Boss Woman found him in the duckpond
floating about dead. I don't think it helped that me and
Amber jumped on him the other day and bit him. Boss Woman
went MAD with us. The ducks shouldn't have come into our
part of the garden ~ it was all their fault, not ours. Boss
Woman keeps them locked up now when me and Polly are out
in the garden. I couldn't help it ~ I just wanted to eat
him. |
Friday
29th February |
It
was the Big Guy's birthday yesterday. Boss Woman bought
him some new work trousers because she says he looks like
a tramp in the old ones. I didn't see any evidence of a
birthday cake, or if there was one, I never had a piece.
|
Wednesday
27th February |
We
went in Scolty Forest today. I like it in there, there is
always plenty of things to smell. I can smell all the other
dogs that have been there before me. We saw a horse in the
Forest and we wanted a race with it but Boss Woman called
us back and wouldn't let us. Boss
Woman was speaking to someone in the Forest today and the
woman said she had always been scared of Staffordshire Bull
Terriers because of all the stuff she had heard about them.
Boss Woman said that I was a very friendly dog and the only
danger was that I would lick her to death. The woman stroked
me and said I was a really lovely friendly dog and she was
glad that she had met me and she wasn't scared anymore.
|
Saturday
23rd February |
Someone
sent me some fan mail (email) today, saying how cute how
I look ~ I think it must be the way my ears stick up that
makes me look cute. Boss Woman said, considering how much
my ears do stick up, I should have better hearing than I
have. I think she's being facetious. |
Tuesday
19th February |
Keia
has gone to her new home now. I hope she likes it as much
as she liked it here. Boss woman taught her to SIT before
she left and she did it everytime she was told, I think
she was a clever little dog. I chased a rat today ~ it was
underneath the chicken shed. I couldn't catch it because
it ran under the wire fence. I was
on the other side of the fence and I caught it. I shook
it about with my teeth but it bit me twice and made my nose
and face bleed. Boss Woman took it off me and stood on it
and then put some ointment on my face and nose to stop it
bleeding. She said we were both very good girls and we had
done a really good job catching it. Boss Woman said that
because all my jabs were up to date, that I wouldn't get
any nasty disease and die. Phew! |
Saturday
16th February |
Keia
is still with us. Boss Woman said I have to be nice to her
because she is only tiny ~ well that's a bit difficult because
she keeps biting my face AND I had to share my raw beef
with her. She doesn't make as much noise as she did before.
Boss Woman said she was noisy because she was very frightened.
I'm Keia ~ I like it here because
I get some nice food. I chased the ducks today and got into
trouble. |
Friday
15th February |
Someone
brought us Keia a rescue pup today, to look after for a
while. She is 8 weeks old. She never ever stops barking
and yelping when she is put in the puppy cage, she's driving
me mad. When I have had my long run in the field and had
my dinner, I like to nap in the afternoon and I couldn't
sleep at all for that racket going on. Well
I like her. She's plays rough fighting and she's good fun.
She keeps jumping all over me but I just lean on her and
topple her over. She looks a bit thin and she doesn't half
eat a lot. I hope she leaves some food for me and Polly.
We had to share our fish dinner with her today. |
Sunday
10th February |
Yep,
the deer's head is still there today on St. Cyrus Beach
and I had a quick chew of it before Boss Woman saw me, but
I couldn't find the fish skin even though I had a good sniff
round trying to find it. |
Saturday
9th February |
Boss
Woman and Big Guy took me to Aberdeen with them today and
they shared their Bacon and Cheese pie with me at lunchtime.
It was really fine ... A woman was stroking my fur and asked
Boss Woman what breed I was because she thought I looked
elegant ~ I think it was the way I was on my back legs trying
to pinch the Big Guy's pie from his fingers that impressed
her. She said she thought that I was a beautiful looking
dog. Boss Woman said she thought she would have to widen
the house door to get my big head through now, with all
the compliments. I didn't go ~ they
made me stay at home. |
Thursday
7th February |
Went
on the long beach again today. The deer's head was still
there where I left it last weekend and it still tasted good.
Me and Amber also found the skin of a fish ~ I don't know
who ate the fish itself but the skin smelt lovely. When
the tide came in then went out again, the sandworm holes
kept filling up with water which bubbled and made me a bit
puzzled, so I tried to dig them up to see what they looked
like but I couldn't reach them before the tide came back
again. Boss Woman took the nice fish
skin off me and Polly before we had chance to eat it and
she threw it into the sea. I never liked water before but
because I wanted to get the fish skin back (it did smell
nice and tasty) I went in the water to get it. Then I realised
that I was in the sea, the tide came over my head and whoopee,
I quite liked it even though I almost got drowned AND I
wasn't scared any more. The water didn't taste very nice
though. |
Monday
4th February |
Climbed
Scolty Hill today ~ it was very steep and Boss Woman was
a bit puffed when she got to the top. Of course, me and
Amber got to the top well before Boss Woman did. Had a great
time chasing through the heather, ran after a buzzard and
met a guy riding a horse. I wanted to say hello and smell
the horse but Boss Woman didn't let me. I
didn't like the horse ~ it was about 500 times bigger than
I was, so I growled at it and stared menancingly to let
it know I wasn't scared. It kept looking at me like it was
going to stand on me. Grrrrr. |
Friday
1st February |
It
was snowing today and when me and Amber went on the coast
path we got wet, muddy and cold. Somehow (ha, ha) my raincoat
came off. I've told Boss Woman I don't like coats, so I
wasn't bothered when it just sort of fell on the floor.
Boss Woman didn't have to get quite so cross though when
it blew away and me and Amber chased after it down the beach
and it sort of got torn when we brought it back. It wasn't
my fault that Amber ran one way and I ran the other. I
was helping carry it and Polly snatched it out of my mouth.
|
Sunday
27th January |
Found
the head of a deer on the beach today. Boss Woman said she
thought it had been hit by a car because it's jaw was all
wonky. I was just pulling the skin off with my teeth when
Boss Woman stopped me. Honestly, I WAS quite hungry and
I would have shared it with Amber. How mean is that? I went
in the sea for a good paddle and we got covered in sand
running down the beach because it was very windy and blowing
the sand all over. I didn't go in
the sea, because I'm a bit scared of the water. |
Tuesday
22nd January |
Went
to the other beach today, through the woods. There was a
strange man hanging about in the woods ~ he had just been
pruning some trees and he was stood there staring at us,
smoking a cigarette. I didn't like him and I don't think
Boss Woman did either. She told me and Amber to 'come' and
kept us close by her. I didn't go
and say hello to him because I thought he was a bit strange
and I don't like people that look at us like that. |
Friday
17th January |
Someone
asked Boss Woman if me and Amber were pitbulls. She told
him that we looked nothing like pitbulls, and that in fact
pitbulls were illegal. The guy said "Oh I wouldn't
let that worry ME". Boss Woman told me and Amber that
he was a stupid idiot and knew nothing about dogs and probably
wouldn't know the difference between and a poodle and a
westie either. Yeah, we thought he
looked gormless. |
Tuesday
15th January |
Had
to go to the vets today for a booster jab. I was glad that
he didn't put a thermometer up my bum like he did last time
I went. He said I was a very friendly and healthy dog and
asked Boss Woman what she fed me on because I had a nice
shiny coat. I like the vet man and licked his face. We
have a new trick ~ when Boss Woman throws me and Polly a
biscuit, we can catch it in our mouths now. |
Monday
14th January |
Went
on a new walk today. Started off at the beach, went through
a forest and down to another beach. The beach was brilliant
~ there was no one on it and me and Amber found a fishing
float which we were playing tug with. Boss Woman said I
was so hyper I was driving her mad so we had a long time
on the beach ~ she said it was to make sure I would sleep
when we got home. I do feel tired now, I think she's trying
to kill me. Help! I found a dead rabbit
in the forest that me and Polly were playing with. As usual,
Boss Woman took it off us. |
Thursday
10th January |
We
got wet and muddy in the field today and Amber was shivering
because it was so cold. I can do something
really cool now. When Boss Woman throws a ball for me, I
can catch it in my mouth. She says I am a clever girl and
I can go to flyball with Polly when I am old enough. |
Tuesday
8th January |
Boss
Woman got a big row off a little guy today. We had just
come off the beach and Boss Woman was clipping us on the
splitter lead but before she could get Amber's lead on,
Amber jumped up at this little guy to say Hello. He went
mad and said Amber was out of control and he was going to
report Boss Woman. He was shouting like mad and waving his
arms about and it was a bit scary. Boss woman apologised
to him a lot, but he kept shouting and going mad. He said
he was going to kick Boss Woman and kick Amber as well.
Boss woman told him he was a nasty little man and she was
going to ignore him and he had better not kick anybody and
that if he kicked Amber, he would have to go through her
first. He stood there staring at us with mad googly eyes
while we walked away. Sometimes we meet very strange people
on our walks. I'm glad Boss Woman is there to protect us.
I didn't mean any harm, I only wanted
to say hello. |
Saturday
5th January |
Had
a good run on the beach today. It was brilliant. The smell
was really nice and the huge waves were rolling in from
the sea and crashing over the harbour wall (a bit dodgy
like if you were stood on the harbour). I found a piece
of paper wrapped in polythene on the harbour ~ Boss Woman
took it off me of course ~ it was from www.geocaching.com
~ something to do with tracking the movements of the piece
of paper and the person who finds it has to put a comment
on and leave it for someone else to find. Where's the ink
pad ??? I could put a paw mark on. |
